We are pleased to announce that Connect Bude’s seventh AGM will take place on Saturday, 26 October 2024, at the Falcon Hotel, Bude, starting at 11am. This is a significant event for all members, supporters, and those interested in the future of transport links in our region. The AGM will run from 11am to 12:30pm, and we warmly welcome everyone who wishes to participate, though only fully paid-up members will be eligible to vote.
We cordially invite you to attend the 7th Annual General Meeting of Connect Bude. The meeting will offer a chance to reflect on our achievements over the past year, with important updates and discussions concerning the campaign for better transport connectivity for Bude and the surrounding areas.
Key highlights of the AGM agenda include:
- Engineering Study Update: Adrian Gannon, along with David Hill-Smith, will present the latest developments from their ongoing engineering study to explore potential route options connecting Okehampton to Bude.
- Bus Link Negotiations: Bruce Thompson will provide an update on efforts to establish a reliable bus link between Bude and the proposed Okehampton Interchange station, in collaboration with Cornwall Council and Devon County Council.
- Marketing & Events Team Formation: We are looking to create a dedicated Marketing & Events Team to help raise awareness of our campaign and boost our presence at local events. If you are passionate about our mission, we encourage you to get involved!
Following the formal proceedings, we will open the floor for questions and, hopefully, welcome new members. Membership sign-ups, including Individual Members (£10), Corporate Members (£20), and Supporters (free), will be available during the meeting or online here. Members who join after 1 October 2024 will not have to renew until 1 January 2026.
The AGM will also include the election of committee members. If you are a member and interested in joining the committee, please complete the attached nomination form by 19 October 2024.
