Residents, businesses and community groups are being encouraged to take part in a special “Let’s Talk Bus” event coming to Bude on Friday 19 June.
Hosted by Transport for Cornwall and Bus Users UK, the event will give local people the chance to share their experiences of bus services and discuss what improvements are needed to better connect communities across North Cornwall.
The event will run from 9:30am to 2:30pm, with activities taking place at The Crescent Coach Area, where the Go Cornwall Bus “Chatter Bus” will be based, and on The Strand. Representatives from Transport for Cornwall and Bus Users UK, including Rebecca Miller, Director for England at Bus Users UK, will be on hand to speak directly with members of the public.
Reliable public transport is vital for accessing work, education, healthcare and leisure opportunities. For many rural communities, bus services are a lifeline, and this event provides an important opportunity to ensure local voices are heard by those responsible for planning and delivering services.
Whether you use the bus regularly, occasionally, or would like to use it more in the future, your feedback can help shape the future of public transport in our area.
